Every organised society is represented by its people and its traditions, but above all by the symbolism of the flag that stands for it — as is true of nations, governments, institutions and communities. In the case of ISHALC, the flag of the Institute for Human Security for Latin America and the Caribbean is tied to the programme "Human Security Through the Eyes of a Child – Literary Basket", aimed at early and middle childhood and at nurturing the first steps in forming character, respect for others, human dignity and human rights.
